Attention Sneakerheads! The drop of the year is just around the corner.

Following the smashing success of Jacquemus x Nike‘s pink and blue Air Humara release last year, the powerhouse duo are back with another iconic partner project, this time reviving the classic Air Force 1 silhouette with a playful French flair, à la Simon Porte Jacquemus.

Dubbed the “J Force 1s,” the collab has been described as “a sophisticated shoe with the spirit of an AF1,” with first-look images of the sneaker surfacing via a sneaky eBay listing. Though the shoes were teased a few days ago on Instagram, with a ‘coming soon’ announcement, we’re just now getting a closer look.

Showcasing a leather outer with classic perforated vamps, mesh tongue and reworked ‘JF1’ branding on its metal lace dubraes, the shoe takes a whimsical turn with unique nylon weaving that wraps around the sole.

Elsewhere, the sneaker boasts Swoosh-branded leather aglets on its laces, debossed co-branding on its heel tab and small metallic Swooshes on its side panels, similar to the Humara.

While Nike has been known to collaborate with a host of heavyweight athletes, Jacquemus has only partnered with Danish homewares brand Tekla for a collection of cosy duvets, towels, bralettes, shorts, robes and other sleepwear in a range of crisp blues, tans and browns.

Sharing the news of his latest partnership with Nike on Instagram, the designer confirmed that we could expect a launch sooner than expected—June 13th, specifically.

“So excited to share with you JF1,” he wrote. “A hybrid of the very famous AIR FORCE 1 and the NIKE ACG TERRA, one of my fav shoes ever from Nike.”

The Jacquemus X Nike JFI is slated for a release on June 13th via Nike, priced at $170 USD ($262 AUD, approx.)
