Dolce & Gabbana‘s Alta Moda 2022 show took place last weekend, with a four-day-long event in Sicily, packed with exclusive events attended by clients and friends of the brand. This Alta Moda show was exceptional since Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce were celebrating its tenth year in production. Since launching in 2012, The designers have grown their client list by 650% by offering exquisite made-to-order clothing year after year, which blends iconic Italian imagery with full-blown fantasy. The designers pulled out all the stops for the clothing displayed during the Alta Moda shows, and the events for its tenth anniversary were no different. Mariah Carey showed up with the designers
Mariah Carey entered Siracusa’s main Piazza Duomo with Stefano and Domenico for Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda 2022 show. The legendary singer kicked off the show with her custom D&G gown that was made to look like Sicilian tiles, which was embroidered by hand using Swarovski crystals. Carey looked like the queen of the evening, wearing a jewel embellished tiara while walking in with the designers.

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce flew out celebrities, models, and entertainers to celebrate the tenth year of Alta Moda. To do so properly, the designers dressed them in clothing from the Alta Moda collection and broader D&G merchandise. Standout moments include model Lupita Nyong’o in a custom Dolce & Gabbana mini dress and Drew Barrymore in a pink pleated gown with sculptural flowers around her neckline.

The designers hosted an al fresco dinner party for the last evening of the Alta Moda celebration at the 13th-century Castello Maniace. It was an extravagant event filled with traditional Italian food, dessert, and decor. A dance party followed the dinner, where Ciara gave an impromptu performance of her song “1, 2 Step,” and guests danced until the twilight hours of the evening.
