Dolce&Gabbana is no stranger to a hosting a spectacle of a show in a far-flung destination. The Italian fashion house has exhibited some of their most collections in all major cities from Venice to Sicily to New York, and this year, Saudi Arabian city AlUla will play host to iconic Alta Moda show.

As part of AlUla Moments festivals season, on 27th January 2022, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will showcase Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Gioielleria in an exclusive fashion show. While fashion shows are typically directed towards editors and buyers, at these weekend-long extravaganzas we play second fiddle to the fashion house’s incredibly wealthy client base, and the occasions themselves are some of the most storied moments in the brand’s history.

The fashion show will take place during the Ikmah Fashion Cavalry Show, which is being produced by Balich Wonder Studio during Winter at Tantora Festival, will be the first event in the Kingdom celebrating heritage, culture, music, and the Middle East’s longstanding affinity of Arabian horses. The show will see a full parade of 12 Arabian steeds, with customised accessories and attire, with the aims of highlighting the harmony between horses and models. The six-week festival is running from m 21st December 2021 to 12th February 2022, and is the first festival of AlUla Moments, which also includes AlUla Arts, AlUla Skies, and AlUla Wellness festival.

And that’s not all. In addition to the show, Dolce & Gabbana will also exhibit the one-of-a-kind collection in Maraya, the world’s largest mirrored building, which will be open for visitors to experience from 28th to 31st January 2022. Here, guests have the opportunity shop the capsule collection, and to meet the Dolce & Gabbana première and master tailor to customise their pieces.
