Between New York, Los Angeles, and Dubai, the last few days have provided plenty of excuses for celebrities to dress up. Several stars went in the opposite direction when it came to their wardrobe. Many opted for neutral ready-to-wear moments, and others went for unexpected pieces with loads of sparkle.

Jessica Kahawaty delighted our Instagram feed when she arrived at the Breitling NYC opening in a custom Georges Hobeika dress. Velvet black with a slim-cut silhouette, Kahawty’s dress showcased an elegant yet flattering look for the evening. Her gown had quite the similarity to JLO’s Venice Film Festival dress with the swooping deep v-neck, but nonetheless, it was a statement dress that not every model could pull off, but Kahawaty did flawlessly.

On the other hand, monochrome accents were trending among celebs. In Los Angeles, we spotted Gigi Hadid wearing a rather flattering tailored two-piece, wearing a cropped vest and low-rise trouser set from H&M’s latest collection launching globally on 12/9 throughout the US and Canada. Equally appealing was the black on black look Vanessa Hudgens pulled off while heading out for a full day of press in NYC. The star wore a little black dress, paired with a latex trench coat and the dreamiest up-do when it came to her hair.

Elsewhere, in Beirut, Myriam Fares celebrated the success of her Netflix series, ‘Myriam Fares: The Journey’ on Jessica Azar’s #MTV40 tv series, opting for an Alexandre Vauthier suit paired with a Gucci bodysuit for an edgy flair. Despite the touch of sparkle, this weeks colour palette was muted. Black and white were the go-to shades, and few deviated from them.
