August 28th marked Emirati Women’s Day, and in celebration, many brands have taken to their social media to share an appreciation post on this special day.
Having a day to remember and celebrate how truly powerful and influential women are, especially in the Middle East, has never been more essential. Inspirational women surround us everywhere we are, from family members to friends, co-workers and beyond.
Back in 2015, Emirati Women’s Day was officially announced by her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, as a form of support women in the UAE. Emirati Women’s Day serves a significant role in recognizing the hard-working Emirati women who have played an essential part in developing the country and highlighting the work of many women contributing to several diverse fields, whether government, commerce, engineering, and beyond.
