There is no doubt that the French cast from Emily In Paris has been shot to stardom – take the gorgeous Camille Razat for example. Now it has been revealed that Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu who plays Sylvie in the series has swapped the set of PR agency Savoir, for The Ritz Hotel in The Crown

In the highly-anticipated fifth season of The Crown, Leroy-Beaulieu will play Monique Ritz, the widow of hotelier Charles Ritz. In real life, Monique’s husband sold The Ritz Hotel in Paris to Dodi Al-Fayed’s father, Mohamed Al-Fayed, in 1979. Dodi went on to date Princess Diana and died alongside the royal in the August 1997 car crash.

“It was a very small thing but it was a lot of fun and I was so, so happy to be in it,” the actress told The Mail on Sunday. “Every episode is like a little film on its own. It’s crazily well written.”

She will star alongside Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana), Dominic West (Prince Charles), Imelda Staunton (Queen Elizabeth II) and Johnathan Pryce (Prince Philip). The series is expected to return to Netflix in November where it will explore the events leading up to Princess Diana’s death.

While it was unclear if a sixth season would document more recent history, last week the series’ casting director Robert Sterne issued a casting call for young actors who look like Prince William and Prince Harry and noted that “no previous acting is required”. Meaning we could discover the next big Hollywood star!

“We are very experienced in providing a great deal of support for the young actors and their families through what they find is a uniquely rewarding creative process,” a notice read.

While we wait another six-ish months for the release, the steamy royal drama of Bridgerton is just three (3!) days away.
