After just 28 days and across 21 countries, Netflix’s steamy period drama Bridgerton – based on the novels by Julia Quinn – garnered the attention of 82 viewers making it the biggest release on the platform at the time. It comes as no surprise that season two of the series is hotly anticipated. On Friday March 25, Lady Whistledown will continue her publication of gossip on the scandalous lives of the 1814 families and more specifically, focus on our favourite bachelor, Anthony Bridgerton, as he looks to settle down.

Royal Naval College – Greenwich, London
With so much speculation on the new series, one location that is confirmed is the Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London where the cast has been spotted filming. It is also the backdrop of famous films such a Skyfall and The Dark Knight Rises.
Holburne Museum – Bath, Somerset
Unbeknown to many fans but the museum’s facade actually serves as the exterior of Lady Danbury’s townhouse. The beautiful Georgian-style streets have been regularly used for the series while the equally-beloved Royal Crescent landmark in the city serves as the backdrop for Lady Whistledown’s errand-boys who deliver the scandal sheets.
Castle Howard – York, North Yorkshire
Castle Howard is first introduced in episode five of the first season after Simon and Daphne’s wedding when they move to Clyvedon Castle. We see the facade, entry-way and estate grounds of the The North Yorkshire home. Castle Howard is just a 25 minute drive from York.
Painshill Park, Cobham, Surrey
You would recall the leafy green grounds of Painshill Park in the series where characters are seen walking and riding in carriages – gossiping of course – along a promenade. Look carefully and you’ll recognise the beautiful serpentine lake and arched bridges.
Stowe House – Buckingham, Buckinghamshire
Our Bridgerton tour finishes at Stowe House in Buckinghamshire where the gardens are used to emulate the real life Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in London. Fans will recall it is the setting where Simon and Daphne arrange their romantic charade in a bid to fool everyone (including themselves). We still get shivers at this scene.
