In case you missed it, Elon Musk – one of the most divisive people on the internet right now – is reportedly dating Australian actress and “ELVIS” star Natasha Bassett. The news was first rumoured back in February by the Daily Mail when they were photographed disembarking the billionaire’s plane. If there was any doubt that it was just a quick fling, new images nearly four months later have shown the couple vacationing in St. Tropez.

In images obtained by Page Sixthe Tesla founder and Australian export were seen having lunch at the Cheval Blanc hotel on Memorial Day weekend. In a series of photographs the pair could be seen enthralled in animated conversation. Bassett wore a strapless green midi dress while Musk opted for his signature uniform of a t-shirt and jeans.

Some of the most iconic relationships of recent years have been born from a romantic getaway. Take for example, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez who took their rekindled relationship Instagram official on a boat in St. Tropez in 2021. Or, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde who were spotted making out, also on a boat, in Venice last year.

While a previous report from Hollywood Life suggested that Musk and Bassett were “exclusive”, the 50-year-old’s former (?) girlfriend Grimes (and mother to his two children) has recently revealed their relationship is “fluid”.

“I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses,” the singer told Vanity Fair in March. “We’re best friends. We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.” Grimes added that they “always wanted at least three or four [children].”

Bassett hails from Sydney, Australia, but moved to New York in 2019 to attend school for her acting career. She has since starred in local projects such as Wild Boys and Mental, and will make an appearance in her first big film from Baz Luhrmann, the aforementioned ELVIS.
