From Dubai to Cairo, the region’s design calendar is getting busier. From established design weeks to newer collectible design fairs, the Middle East has become home to an increasingly busy calendar of events for the season, bringing together designers, architects, galleries and creatives from across the world.
Some are more focused on product and furniture, others look at architecture, craft, public space or the future of design itself.
And that’s why GRAZIA brings you a guide to what’s happening where and when.
Amman Design Week – Amman, Jordan, October 2-17, 2026

After a seven-year break, Amman Design Week is returning for its fourth edition. Founded in 2016 by Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the event has become one of Jordan’s key platforms for design, bringing together exhibitions, workshops, talks, student projects and community programs.
This year’s theme, “Accumulations”, looks at how materials, knowledge, memories, daily practices and culture build up over time and shape the way we make and live. The event stretches across Amman, including Raw El Ain, Jabal Al Lweibdeh, Jabal Amman and Iraq Al Amir, as well as Aqaba for the first time.
Dubai Design Week – Dubai, UAE, November 3-8, 2026
Dubai Design Week is probably the biggest name on the regional calendar, turning Dubai Design District into a hub for exhibitions, installations, workshops, talks, commissions and creative projects for six days.
The programme ranges from architecture and interiors to product design, materials, technology and sustainability. It also puts a particular focus on emerging talent from the region and the wider Global South, making it much about discovering new talents as it is about seeing the bigger international design conversation land in Dubai.
Downtown Design – Dubai, UAE, November 4-8, 2026

Part of Dubai Design Week, but worth separating out, Downtown Design is a design fair rather than a design week. Think furniture, lighting, interiors, materials and collectible pieces from international and regional brands and designers.
And as for a highlight of this year’s edition, expect the bold colours, graphic patterns and eccentric forms of the Memphis Design movement and how it’s shaping modern-day contemporary design.
The return of Buccellati for the second time is expected as well, presenting Aquae Mirabiles, an engaging experience in collaboration with British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall, inspired by the symbolism and mythology of water, featuring the house’s Silverware Collection, highlighting the brand’s signature microsphere motif.
Design Doha Biennial – Doha, Qatar, November 5, 2026

Design Doha takes a much broader approach to what design can be. Its second edition opens in November under the name of “Knowledge Takes Form”, bringing together exhibitions, public commissions, talks, workshops and projects across Doha.
One of its highlights is Arab Design Now, which looks at contemporary design across the Arab world and its diaspora, considering everything from craft and materials to manufacturing, technology, identity, geography and political change. The biennial’s exhibitions run through December 31, making it one of the longer-running events on the calendar.
Sharjah Architecture Triennial – Sharjah, UAE, November 14, 2026 – April 14, 2027

Every three years, Sharjah turns its attention to architecture and the built environment with the Sharjah Architecture Triennial. This year’s edition, “Architecture Otherwise: Building Civic Infrastructures for Collective Futures”, is curated by Vyjayanthi Rao with Tau Tayengwa as associate curator.
Rather than focusing purely on buildings, the Triennial looks at architecture as something connected to social life, communities, ecology and the way cities function. The programme brings together architects, artists, designers, researchers and other practitioners across Sharjah, making this one for whoever’s interested in where architecture meets culture and everyday life.
Ithra Design Week – Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, November 16-21, 2026

Held at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, Ithra Design Week brings together designers, studios, thinkers and institutions from Saudi Arabia and beyond through exhibitions, installations, workshops, masterclasses and talks.
This year’s theme is “Redesigning the Default”, asking what happens when we stop accepting existing systems and start questioning what comes next. Design is treated as a way of thinking about change, technology, society and the future rather than simply creating beautiful objects.
NOMAD Abu Dhabi – Abu Dhabi, UAE, November 18-22, 2026

NOMAD is slightly different from the other events on the list. It’s a traveling showcase dedicated to collectible design, contemporary art and cultural dialogue, bringing galleries and designers together in unusual architectural settings around the world.
After its first Abu Dhabi edition, NOMAD is returning to Abu Dhabi for its second edition in 2026 at Terminal 1 of the Old Abu Dhabi Airport, placing contemporary cultural production within architectural and historical context. Expect collectible pieces, international galleries and the kind of design that sits somewhere between art and functional object.
Cairo Design Week – Cairo, Egypt, November 19-28, 2026

Marking its fourth edition this year, Cairo Design Week is bringing together designers, brands, creative institutions and cultural organizations from Egypt, the region and even beyond.
What makes it particularly interesting is its city-wide approach. The event spreads across Cairo’s neighborhoods, with exhibitions, installations, talks, workshops and collaborations connecting design to the city itself by spotlighting the city’s creativity and historic design.
