For instance, its prosperous and annual Cairo International Film Festival has been a highly-anticipated festival for years, known for recognizing talent in the region. While we’re only just at the start of the new year, here are the best Egyptian shows that you need to look forward to in 2022.
Finding Ola
Set to hit your Netflix screens on the 3rd of February, Egyptian-Tunisian actress Hend Sabry will be in the lead playing a pharmacist named Ola Abd ElSabour from the 2010 show Ayza Atgawez in the new Netflix series. The series will also be starring Sawsan Badr, Hani Adel, Nada Mousa, Mahmoud El-Leithy, and Dalia Shawky.
Abou El Arousa Season 3
On the 22nd of January, the hit Egyptian show Abou El Arousa will be returning for a third season. The family drama series stars Sayed Ragab, Sawsan Badr, Wala’a el- Sherif, Nermin al-Fiqi, Medhat Saleh, and many more.
Helm Layal
While a confirmed release date isn’t out for the show, Yasmine Sabri will be playing the role of Layal in the upcoming Ramadan series, making it her second project with Egyptian TV actor Mohamed Abdel Moaty.
U-turn
The soon-to-be-released drama series will include a huge lineup of well-known stars such as Reham Hajjaj, Tawfiq Abdel Hamid, Nourhan, Abeer Sabry, Karim Qassem, Mahmoud Hegazy, Mohamed Kelany and Safaa al-Toukhy.
