Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan travelled to Saudi Arabia earlier this week following the death of his father-in-law, Khaled bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz Al Saif.

It was announced over the weekend that Princess Rajwa‘s father had died by the Royal Hashemite court. Crown Prince Hussein issued a statement paying tribute to his “beloved” father-in-law.

“With profound sadness and sorrow, we bid farewell to my beloved father-in-law,” the Jordanian royal stated. “We will always remember his kindness, generosity, and integrity. May God bestow mercy upon him and grant us patience and strength.”

Crown Prince Hussein then travelled to Riyadh to attend the funeral in pictures shared by the Saudi Press Agency, which was also attended by many members of the Saudi royal family.

According to reports, Crown Prince Hussein’s parents, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania also made a private trip to Saudi Arabia to express their “condolences over the passing” of Khaled bin Musaed.

Princess Rajwa’s father’s death comes eight months after her wedding to Crown Prince Hussein, of which her father and mother, Azza Al Sudairi, were in attendance. The couple wed at Zahran Palace in Amman, the same place where King Abdullah and Queen Rania married in 1993.

Many notable figures were in attendance including the Prince and Princess of Wales, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser of Qatar, Queen Azizah of Malaysia, Princess Beatrice and many more.

The life of Khaled bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz Al Saif

Born in 1953, Khaled bin Musaed traces back his lineage to the Subai tribes of the region and comes from a line of Sheikhs from Al Attar in Sudair, Najd, since the former king Abdulaziz Al Saud began his reign.

After graduating from the American University in Beirut, where he studied engineering, Khaled bin Musaed went on to accomplish a multitude during his lifetime. He was prominently known for his business ventures and for being the President and CEO of the Al Saif Group, one of the top 25 companies in Saudi. He was also a board member of Musaed Al Seif & Sons Company, International Management Development Company and many more.

A visionary in the business world, Khaled bin Musaed founded the Arabian Medicare Company, Universal Advanced Systems Company, El Seif Engineering Contracting Establishment and El Seif Development Company. Besides his business ventures, Khaled bin Musaed also indulged in philanthropy and was a board member of the Riyadh Philanthropic Society for Science at Prince Sultan University.
