One of the most celebrated weddings of 2023 was that of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Princess Rajwa. The endless celebrations, distinguished guest list and impeccable fashion were all documented and broadcast for the world to see.

With millions of views the globe-over, even onlookers rejoiced at the matrimony of the future King and Queen of Jordan. Just when we thought we had seen it all, Jordan’s postal services gave fans a royal surprise for 2024, unveiling unseen images of the royal couple to commemorate the celebration in the form of postal stamps.

Ahead of their first anniversary, Jordan Post released never-before-seen images of the royal pair just in time for the new year. In a post made on Instagram, the account announced the release of these special stamps as a means to commemorate the joyous occasion and also give fans of the royals to cherish a piece of history being made.

The post stated, “The statement made it clear that the issue of commemorative stamps comes to preserve and immortalize the achievements of the Kingdom and national events or those associated with major celebrations during a certain period, allowing fans of commemorative stamp collectors from different parts of the world to view Jordanian heritage.”

This issue includes two postal stamps, a card and an envelope that features unseen portraits of Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa. The first image on the card consists of the pair walking out of the Zahran Palace with the royal guards standing on either side of the background. Whereas, the postal stamps feature a more scenic portrait that features the luscious landscapes of the palace.

Although we have seen the pair countless amount of times in family celebrations and royal engagements since then, their union marks the beginning of a new era of royals for the Kingdom.
