There are a few things that spring to mind as I reach for my own leather pants. Firstly I hope to look even as marginally good as the incredible Cindy Crawford. And then throughout the day when it gets a little too hot for comfort, l think of the pain felt by David Schwimmer’s character, Ross, and the iconic “paste pants” debacle from Friends.

For the long-awaited Friends reunion, two icons collided as the cast and a studio audience revisited some of the most memorable costumes from the beloved series. Through what can only be described as a natural collaboration, Crawford stepped out on a makeshift runway wearing the same leather pants, button-down shirt combo and finished the look off with combat boots – sans the sticky paste.

And in case you were wondering, yes, Crawford wore them better.

Speaking to Popsugarstylist Erica Could revealed the pants worn by Crawford are the exact pair of Agnès B pants worn by Ross during the show.

“They are the EXACT Agnès B pants that Ross wore, and they fit her perfectly! No one else has worn them besides those two icons!” Cloud revealed, adding that the supermodel “even wanted to carry the baby powder and lotion down the runway, but they ended up doing no props in the end”.

Crawford has long had a penchant for leather pants with the ’90s supermodel seen on multiple occasions wearing the tricky trend. Our favourite look comes from a 2002 red carpet look that featured a low-rise, boot cut iteration finished with a gold sequinned tank top and pointed pumps. Very noughties if you ask us.

Elsewhere on the Friends runway, Cara Delevingne revived Rachel Green’s bridesmaid dress from Barry and Mindy’s wedding and Justin Bieber made an appearance in another Ross favourite: the ‘Spudnick’ halloween costume.

The reunion was full of wholesome moments and untold stories. Perhaps the biggest bombshell arrived when Jennifer Aniston admitted she and Schwimmer had an in-real-life crush on one another and that the chemistry was channelled into their characters on-screen romance.

“I remember saying one time to David, It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is on national television,” Aniston recalled. “And sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop,” she recalled. “We channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
