The Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF) in partnership with VOX Cinemas, MBC GROUP and Saudia Airlines had its opening night on the 6th of December. The festival aims to bring the best of Arab and world cinema to the UNESCO world heritage site of Jeddah Old Town from December 6-15, 2021.

Stars from all over the world have landed in the city and graced the red carpet. Arab stars and filmmakers that attended the festival’s opening ceremony include, Hany Abu-Assad, Amira Diab, Mohamed Henedy, Inas ElDeghedy, Saba Mubarak and many more.

While international talents that attended include Anthony Mackie, Jon Kortajarena, Tina Kunakey, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Sara Sampaio, Irina Shayk, Sasha Luss, Alton Mason, Rick Yune, Sonia Ben Ammar, Shanina Shaik, and several more A-listers.

The Red Sea International Film Festival will showcase a compelling lineup of new and diverse films while introducing audiences to exciting emerging talent from the region and abroad. The Festival will provide a platform for Arab filmmakers and industry professionals from around the world to connect, teach and attend masterclasses and workshops to support emerging talent.

The first edition of the festival claims 138 feature films and short films from 67 countries in 34 languages, from both renowned and emerging talent.
