Love is in the air, and no, we’re not just talking about Bella Hadid’s secretive relationship with art director, Marc Kalman. As the Cannes Film Festival nears the halfway mark, the model has continued the lavish affair with another frivolous ensemble. So consider us infatuated, again.
On day six, the 24-year-old attended the premiere of Tre Piani (Three Floors) in a floor-grazing wool gown pulled from the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2021/22 collection. Designed by Daniel Roseberry, the plunging neckline perfectly framed a gilded brass necklace inspired by the passageways of the human lungs.
Hadid’s look was paired with earrings from the Chopard Haute Joaillerie Collection. The magnificent piece is crafted in 18ct rose gold featuring 24.97-carats of rubies and diamonds. A Phoenix ring from the Red Carpet Collection was also worn, created in 18ct rose Fairmined-certified gold and titanium and features a 43.46-carat orange opal cabochon, orange sapphires, amethysts, sapphires, rubies and black diamonds.
Her hair was slicked into a dramatic bun with a cropped tail; the makeup kept fresh in hues of mauve.
The model’s latest appearance follows the opening ceremony where she now rather famously wore a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier gown. It was first worn on the runway by Naomi Campbell for the Spring / Summer Haute Couture collection in 2002. According to Hadid via Instagram, the original piece was on show at a museum with the JPG atelier recreating the gown mere days before the event.
Stars in attendance on day six also included Taylor Hill, Spike Lee, Camila Coelho and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
