Last year, due to Covid-19, Alber Elbaz tragically passed away. More than 40 fashion houses are now paying homage to the late designer with a runway show in Paris on October 5th, 2021, closing fashion week with a moment of solidarity for the creative. Elba’s label AZ Factory organised the “Love Brings Love” fashion show as a way to honour Elbaz, with a list of the most prominent fashion houses and emerging talent coming together to pay homage to the iconic designer.

Before passing, Alber’s biggest dream was to unite a wider fashion family to create a modern interpretation. Each brand set to join the show will create a look inspired by Alber’s legacy or take a unique approach to the designer’s iconic silhouettes. On October 5th, not only will the looks be showcased, but the late designer’s dream of bringing the fashion industry together will be fulfilled. The inspiration behind the event comes from the “Théâtre de la Mode” exhibition in 1945, which brought over 60 couturiers together in solidarity following the end of the second world war.

The fashion houses set to participate include Fendi’s Kim Jones, Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri, Balmain’s Oliver Rousteing, Balenciaga’s Demna Gvasalia, Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARCONS, Burberry’s Riccardo Tisci, Bottega Veneta’s Daniel Lee, Gucci’s Alessandro Michele and many more. The emerging designers include the likes of Thebe Magugu, Casa Blanca, Tomo Koizumi, Christopher John Rogers and more.

The fashion show will be live-streamed online at AZFactory.com and their Instagram and Youtube channel at 8 pm CET.
