Achraf Hakimi, the professional footballer, has long been known for his impressive skills and achievements on the field, ever since he gained recognition as a youth player for the Spanish football club Real Madrid. The 24-year-old has had many viral moments throughout his six-year-long career, but Hakimi and his mother Sadia Mouh’s intimate celebration became a worldwide sensation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar when his national team Morocco won over Spain in the Round of 16 stages. Afterwards, Hakimi continued to openly run to his mother’s arms to commemorate each win at the World Cup. The beautiful photographs of their sweet bond took the world by storm as a reminder of every immigrant’s dream. Hakimi’s mother has once again grabbed the world’s attention with the footballer’s recent scandals.
During the divorce proceedings, Hiba’s lawyer found out that although Achraf Hakimi’s reported net worth is valued at $24 million, he does not officially possess any of his wealth or salary as he has transferred the ownership of his earnings to his mother as a beneficiary for several years.
Saida stated in an interview with Moroccan media that she was not aware of any action taken by her son to protect his assets, and emphasised that if he had not transferred his assets to her, he would not be able to get rid of his ex-wife, Hiba Abouk.
Last week, the divorce proceedings between Hakimi and Hiba were made public, revealing that the couple had been working towards legal separation even before the alleged rape accusation arose. Hakimi earns a reported monthly salary of $1 million from PSG, putting him in the same high-earning bracket as Lionel Messi and Neymar. He is also said to keep 20% of his paycheck, which amounts to approximately $215 per week. If Hiba were to succeed with her claims in the divorce proceedings, she could potentially be awarded a significant sum of $8.5 million.
After hearing this news, many social media users are speculating whether Hakimi will be entitled to receive half of Hiba’s money, given that he does not possess any properties in his name. Perhaps Hiba will receive her comeuppance for taking advantage of his current circumstances? However, it is unlikely that he will request to take funds since he has two children with his ex-wife. Currently, no official reports indicate that the court will require Hiba to relinquish any funds, including lawyer fees for Hakimi.
