One of the biggest events on the UAE’s social and sporting calendar is just around the corner – Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025. The finale of the Formula One (F1) Season at Yas Marina Circuit is expected to bring excitement with some of the greatest racing action, top-level entertainment, and A-lister presence from all over the globe for a full weekend.

As it now enters its 17th year, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has become an iconic experience within the event industry as it brings together motorsport enthusiasts, A-listers and international travellers. The continued popularity of “Drive to Survive” and other documentaries surrounding F1 has created a new wave of interest in F1 and the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is expected to be as exciting as ever. 

Tickets are selling very quickly, and here’s everything you need to know ahead of the start of the race weekend with GRAZIA.

Set to take place on the Yas Marina Circuit on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island, the event is set to be the ultimate playground for speed, style and entertainment from Thursday, December 4 through to Sunday, December 7, when 20 of the world’s best Formula 1 drivers will face off in a 58-lap race finale.

Starting off on Thursday, December 4, with Pit-lane walk, & First Yasalam After-Race Concert. On Friday, its all about the practice sessions starting at 1.30pm and 5.00pm. Saturday, you’ll see some final practices at 4:30pm and finishing off with Qualifying at 6:00 pm. Sunday is the main race, which kicks off at 5:00pm – the grand finale of the 2025 F1 season.

The excitement for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix doesn’t stop once the chequered flag has waved. The Yasalam post-race concerts keep the energy at an all-time high over the race weekend. Some of the best global acts, including Benson Boone opening the weekend on Thursday, December 4; followed by Post Malone and Elyanna on Friday, Metallica on Saturday, and Katy Perry closing out the weekend on Sunday. 

For those who want to extend their racing weekend late into the evening can do that at one of the official after-parties, which will be held at Yas Gateway Park with the iconic KeineMusik playing on Friday. Over at the W Abu Dhabi, Idris Elba will be performing at the Garden on Yas with Calvin Harris for an after-party on Saturday.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix excitement goes far beyond the racetrack and the concerts. Yas Island transforms into a buzzing hub of activity, with brunches, pop-up lounges, and restaurants keeping the energy high from morning until.

This year, Nobu will be arriving on the island for one week from December 1-7 for a pop-up giving fans the chance to try their renowned Japanese dishes from Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Jalapeño & Wagyu A9 Truffle Amazu, as well as the opportunity to indulge in free-flowing beverages and live music from DJs. In addition, offers a stylish brunch with exceptional flavours and a vibrant atmosphere of the marina, while W Abu Dhabi Brunch provides another prime spot to soak up the F1 atmosphere in luxury.

To add to the excitement of this years race weekend, Lewis Hamilton’s “House 44”, in collaboration with Soho House, will debut from December 5-7, allowing visitors to take advantage of a track side view, bespoke cocktails, curated artwork, and memorabilia, as well as live DJs and exclusive experiences such as; walking down the pit lane, taking an open top ride around the track, and even being able to step into the podium area. This is just the beginning of what visitors can experience throughout the entire Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025 event weekend, so it will surely be a weekend that has something for all types of travellers.

Regardless of whether there are still championship titles to be won or whether the title has already been decided, the last race of the season always manages to deliver plenty of excitement. From the final laps under the lights to the Yasalam after-race concerts, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix remains one of the stand-out events in both the UAE’s sport calendar and social calendar.
