While we admit that the tourist packed landmarks of the city are iconic, we have to give credit to Dubai’s overflowing and often underrated creative art spaces.

The art scene in Dubai is vibrant, influenced by a diversity in backgrounds and cultures. The city is a hotspot for artistic expression, packed with artists, creativity and talent.

If you’re an art and cultural enthusiast or simply looking for a creative space to indulge in some ‘you’ time, GRAZIA brings you some of the best art spaces to visit this upcoming season.

Art Dubai 2026

The art event we wait all year for, Art Dubai will be taking place from May 15-17 at Madinat Jumeirah. The iconic art fair has been a key part of Dubai’s creative ecosystem for 20 years, showcasing the talent of local, regional and international artists. Art Dubai includes a diverse variety of art, including contemporary, modern and digital. The event also spotlights artistic voices that are shaping cultural conversation throughout the region. This year’s event is host to 45+ galleries from 20 countries with entry free for visitors.

DIFC Art Nights

Art, music and workshops, the ideal trio for a night of culture and creativity. This iconic Dubai art festival is a yearly fixture on the city’s art scene, inviting cultural enthusiasts to take part in four nights packed with high quality art. The program for the 21st edition of the event is curated by Opera Gallery, a powerhouse gallery in the commercial art space alongside Christies, a massive art and luxury platform in Dubai. No registration needed, just head to Gate Village, DIFC anytime between 5pm-10pm April 23 to April 26.

Jameel Arts Center

Contemporary art with a creek side view, Jameel Arts Center presents art at its highest quality. The institution has been in Dubai since 2018, exhibiting sculptures, paintings, photography and film footage of performance art. Jameel is currently exhibiting a one room installation of Kamruzzaman Shadhin’s ‘The River Remembers’, a textile art piece, and the threaded artwork of Jumana Emil Abboud ‘The Storyteller and The Obedient Tide’ drawing on Palestinian lineage until June 28. Visit the art space for free from Wednesday to Monday from 10am-8pm and 12pm-8pm on Fridays.

Efie Gallery

Culture and art go side-by-side, and this contemporary art gallery is focused on showcasing artwork with African origins. The gallery name in itself is representative of African culture, with the word Efie meaning ‘home’ in the African language of Twi. Aside from exhibiting a variety of beautiful artworks the gallery contains a hidden gem… a secret vinyl spot. Inside the gallery is the coziest listening room you’ll ever find, with a large collection of vinyl records from all over the world and fun board games for you to enjoy. The gallery is public and open to everyone, so you can enter without spending a dime.

An immersive, futuristic art experience located within the iconic landmark of The Dubai Mall. The museum focuses on activating all our senses, combining digital art with sound, scent and a cup of tea. If you’re looking to see artwork that captivates you completely, this museum is just for you. Even if you’re not an art enthusiast and are just looking for a place that’s Instagram worthy, this unique aesthetic setting is not to be missed out on. The museum timings vary, from 10am-10pm Monday to Thursday, 10am-11pm Fridays and 10am-12am on weekends. Ticket costs varying from Dhs169 for adults and Dhs99 for children.

XVA Art Gallery

A pioneering art gallery in the Middle Eastern contemporary art scene, XVA showcases artists who express individual cultural perspectives within their artwork. The aim of the gallery is to encourage the audience to embrace different cultural lenses and identities. Since it was founded in 2003, the gallery has been exhibiting local and international art. However, it mostly focuses on showcasing art from the Arab and Persian world. Experience contemporary art from varying cultural lenses anytime between 10am-6pm every day except Saturday.

The Majlis gallery

One of the blueprint art galleries in Dubai, the Majlis Gallery was founded in 1989, aspiring to be a haven point for creative minds. This intention is reflected in the name itself, with the term ‘Majlis’ meaning ‘common ground’ in the Arabic language. The gallery has witnessed Dubai’s growth first-hand, from our humble beginnings to our current prosperity. Now, it is considered one of the first fine-art galleries in Dubai, welcoming works from both local and international artists. Experience one of Dubai’s first ever art spaces for free in the Al Fahidi Historical neighborhood. You can check out the gallery between 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday.

The third line art gallery

Located in the heart of Dubai’s Alserkal Avenue, The Third Line art gallery focuses on exhibiting Middle Eastern artists locally, regionally and internationally. The gallery has committed to showcasing contemporary art for the past 20 years, acting as a platform for both seasoned artists and emerging talent. In addition to its exhibitions the gallery is host to nonprofit publications in both English and Arabic. Visit the gallery from 10am-7pm Saturday to Thursday for free.

Opera Gallery

A powerhouse in the contemporary art scene, showcasing artists and exhibitions in over 16 countries and founded in 1994. The gallery originated in Paris and Singapore, then found itself in Dubai from 2007 onwards. The gallery is largely considered to be an institution of fine art, due to its long-term presence as a prestigious gallery. Check out their contemporary art masterpieces in DIFC Gate Village for free. Timings are 10am-10pm Sunday to Wednesday, 2am-9pm Friday, 11am-9pm Saturday.
