Yes, 25 years after tying the knot in an Irish castle wearing matching purple outfits, the former pop supernova and Premier League star have revived their controversial wedding looks in celebration of the milestone anniversary. The Beckhams “wannabe” back in 1999, indeed.

Despite the quarter century since the ensembles’ debut, Victoria and David somehow look more stylish in them now than they did then. Perhaps we can attribute this freshness to a reliant use of the Victoria Beckham by Augustinus Bader skincare line. Or, more accurately, the fact they didn’t force their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, into the matching purple suit and cowboy hat he wore for his parent’s nuptials.
In the absence of frosted tips and a choppy pixie cut, the couple let the looks do all the talking. Yes, they might have updated the styling, but thankfully for us, they kept the golden thrones they posed on at their actual wedding.
David and Victoria exchanged “I dos” in a Robin Hood-themed ceremony at a 15th-century castle on the outskirts of Dublin. The fashion designer’s Vera Wang wedding dress was reported to be worth £100,000 at the time. But given this reprisal, we’d argue it has been worth every cent when factoring in cost per wear.
The couple shared their first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “It Had to Be You”, with David gifting Victoria an additional 15 engagement rings throughout their marriage. The pair share four children, Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12.
