In sad news to come out of London – if you happen to be fashion or football adjacent (and spend a little too much time on TikTok) – it appears Victoria and David Beckham’s 19-year-old son Romeo has split with his high-school sweetheart, Mia Regan.
In recent years, Regan, who’s known by her nickname and Instagram handle, Mimi Moocher, and Beckham have fast become one of the cutest young high-profile couples in the UK. As Beckham follows in his father’s footsteps with his football career, Regan has been making a name for herself in the fashion industry – not dissimilar to the career path of Beckham’s mum, Victoria.
But, according to reports, after three years together, the pair have split due to long distance making it hard for the young couple to see each other: Beckham is currently living in Miami, Florida playing for football side Inter Miami II, while Regan lives in London working as a model and influencer.
A source told MailOnline : “Essentially the long distance relationship at their young ages took its toll. Romeo and Mia are both lovely young people, they’re very fond each other and the family love Mia.”
Regan is reportedly very close to Beckham’s family, most recently posting a birthday tribute to his younger sister, Harper, on her Instagram stories and often collaborating with her now-exes mum on campaigns for her namesake fashion label.
Proving their close bond, in February Regan and VB attended London Fashion Week together, where they were photographed in the front row, and Regan wore a slip dress by Beckham to Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding to Nicola Peltz earlier this year.
“[Mia’s] continuing to collaborate with Victoria Beckham through her work,” MailOnline‘s source continued. “But sadly Romeo and Mia aren’t together anymore. He’s focused on his football and living in Miami and she’s in the UK, working on her modelling and influencer career. It’s amicable.”
Following the news, Beckham deleted all photos of Regan from his Instagram account. Meanwhile, his mum gave a small pledge of support to Regan, commenting “Beautiful x kisses x,” on the teen’s latest Instagram photos.
