One of the best things to come out of Barbiemania, other than Margot Robbie’s incredible press tour fashion and our renewed appreciation for the colour pink, was Ryan Gosling’s pop star debut. The actor, who teased his musical prowess in La La Land, and even used to be half of a duo with the band Dead Man’s Bones, worked with producer Mark Ronson to create the hit song ‘I’m Just Ken’ for Barbie.

The satirical power ballad explored Gosling’s Ken character’s identity crisis in a Barbie world and was a smashing success, even ranking on the Billboard Hot 100 list alongside Dua Lipa‘s Barbie soundtrack song ‘Dance The Night’. Featuring lyrics like “Doesn’t seem to matter what I do / I’m always number two” and “What will it take for her to see the man behind the tan?” it’s as catchy as it is hilarious. Now, the tune can be enjoyed even more, no matter what your mood, with the actor partnering with Ronson once again to drop new versions of the song.

Just in time for the holidays, a whole Ken EP has hit Spotify with three glorious new versions of ‘I’m Just Ken’ to suit any mood. Whether you’re lamenting your existence as the second fiddle to your SO in the world, gearing up for the festive season, or just looking to dance the night away, there’s now an iteration of the song for you. The releases include a ‘Merry Kristmas, Barbie’ version, an ‘In My Feelings Acoustic’ version, and a ‘Purple Disco Machine’ remix. What more could you want?

To mark the release, Ryan Gosling, Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt also filmed a performance video of the holiday edition, complete with jingle bells and Christmas lights. Watch the full clip below.
