It may only be the mid-way point of the summer season abroad, but Nicola Peltz is already switching up her locks for Fall. At the weekend the model and actress swapped her usual platinum blonde hair colour for a chocolatey hue in a convincing case that perhaps, brunettes do have more fun.
Peltz debuted the unexpected look on social media aptly writing in the caption, “back to my roots 😉”. Her new husband Brooklyn Beckham seemed to approve of the transformation, commenting, “Sexy baby xxxxx”. She shared a second post of the brunette shade captioned with two eye emojis. Again, Beckham was quick to respond writing, “WOW”.
The colour was accompanied with choppy layers and short curtain bangs which was courtesy of Los Angeles-based hairstylist Daniel Moon. The longtime celebrity stylist to Peltz also counts famous clients including Kristen Stewart, Kanye West, Katy Perry and Lindsay Lohan.
Peltz is not the only it-girl to dramatically switch her hair colour this year. There was of course Gigi Hadid who experimented with a range of different shades in 2022 from a more natural brown to bright white platinum blonde. Kendall Jenner of course chose to keep her red head locks from Fashion Week earlier this year, while Lily James gradually transitioned to a brunette hue accompanied by curtain bangs just recently.
The low maintenance look comes after Peltz celebrated her wedding to Beckham with a PDA-fuelled and fashion-fuelled honeymoon in St. Tropez this month. The couple tied the knot in Palm Beach, Florida.
If anything is for certain – judging by how quickly the model’s highlighter sold out from her wedding – everyone will be opting for a shade of brunette in the coming weeks. We suggest booking a hair appointment ASAP.
