Natasha Liu Bordizzo is no stranger to a special occasion. The Australian model and actress has spent a fair portion of her career prepping for events, including red carpets and international fashion shows. While both have been on hold for the better part of 2020, we’re starting to see a slow return – albeit in a responsible, socially-distanced format.

Chanel’s Métiers d’Art for 2020/2021 was one such example, with a virtual show taking place instead of a corporeal one. As a Chanel ambassador, Bordizzo attended the unveiling of the house’s digital runway, which was broadcast worldwide last week. The Sydney-based starlet wasn’t going to let a little thing like international travel restrictions impede her ability to dress up and attend the sartorial spectacular, which showcases the craftsmanship of Chanel’s many embroiderers, feather workers, paruriers, pleaters, shoemakers, hatters and glove-makers.

To mark the whimsical event and with an eye to the impending party season, GRAZIA chatted to Bordizzo about her essential pre-event prep, plus her favourite looks from Chanel’s romantic runway.

On her trick to glowing camera-ready skin… “I really lather on serum and moisturiser so the make-up has a hydrated base to sink in to and last the day! My favourite is CHANEL Solution 10.”

On her personal style ethos… “Funky, tomboy, minimal at times, and earthy.”

On her outfit for the Chanel Métiers d’Art 2020/2021 show… “This white-on-white look from the Cruise collection is in such a luxurious, weighted fabric and was a powerful look. I love the way this two-piece fits, where it falls and where it hugs the body around the hips!”
On the stars she looks to for pre-event style inspiration… “Zoe Kravitz , Pom Klementieff and Asap Rocky come to mind!”

On her favourite look from the show… “The contrasting mini white playsuit underneath the floor-length black coat was a favourite. I also loved the layered red and green cross-body bags! It felt so playful yet chic.”
