Is Heidi Klum’s daughter set to be the next Kaia Gerber? It was a question we posed in late 2021 as Leni Klum made her red carpet debut and landed her very first magazine cover. At the launch of the new Superga Fall/Winter 2022 campaign this week, the 18-year-old can add another achievement to her growing resumé: brand ambassador.
She follows in the footsteps of Iris Law, Emily Ratajkowski and Hailey Bieber who have all put their own twist on the Italian classic shoes. “Hailey Bieber definitely influences my style the most,” Klum gushes to GRAZIA upon the release of the new campaign. “She always looks so effortlessly put together and I love that.”
Klum was captured walking the streets of Los Angeles in timeless Superga styles and new silhouettes. The forthcoming collection also emphasises the ethical product offering from the brand including the 2790 COTW which uses natural rubber and the 1918 slides which features faux fur. The campaign stars trending styles such as the 2631 Stripe Platform shoe available in white and black made of vegan faux leather, the 2641 Alpina High Nappa and, the 4089 Training 9ts Slim.
Despite the growing attention on the American It-girl, Klum attempts to remain as authentic as possible. For the up-and-coming models she credits one piece of important advice on the development of her personal wardrobe. “Dress the way you want to dress has always been something I keep in mind,” she recalls. “Create your own style and wear what makes you happy and feel confident.”
As for her favourite Superga style? “It’s really hard to choose, but I love the 2631 Stripe Platform. Not only is it a classic shape with a fun twist in the textured platform, but the materials are sustainably minded with vegan leather.”
