Hailey Bieber sums up her signature style to GRAZIA in three words: “simple, strong, and statement.” While the 24-year-old is no stranger to a glam moment, recent years have seen the model become synonymous with effortlessly chic, tomboyish ensembles and sneakers, oh her wonderful array of sneakers. It only makes sense that Bieber would become the global ambassador and face of Superga.
“Superga is a go-to sneaker for me because they are comfortable, timeless and classic,” Bieber tells us. “Most importantly, they just pair perfectly with anything and everything.”
This month, the blonde bombshell fronts the brand’s latest campaign for Fall/Winter 2021. Created by an all-female team (yeah, the girls) at the Tennis and Riding Club in Malibu, the images were captured by former painter, illustrator and animal rights activist Zoey Grossman. Styled by New-York based stylist and fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, the shoot showcases the brand’s timeless canvas styles as well as a series of new and extremely cool sneakers and boots. Bieber also appeared in the Spring/Summer 2021 campaign in March.
“Again, it was a full female crew working on this campaign and I think there was a strong sense of empowerment,” the model reflects. “Ultimately, we wanted to capture the vibe of Superga with a beautiful balance of fun and carefree energy. I think Zoey’s images are always beautiful and free.”
Superga was established way back in 1911, Turin, Italy, under the watchful design eye of Walter Martiny. At the time the factory was creating vulcanised rubber soles before the company conceptualised the Classic Superga 2750 heritage style which we love and wear (and wear, and wear…) today. After closing during the war the Superga factory reopened to continue producing quality shoes for its locals.
