The past week has seen Lady Gaga strutting all over New York City in a series of impeccable outfits. After the singer and actress wrapped up filming House of Gucci in Rome, the 35-year-old promptly embarked on a trip to Manhattan to perform with beloved Jazz singer, Tony Bennett. Following an evening of slow and soulful tunes at Radio City Musical Hall on Tuesday evening, Gaga announced she would release an album with the musical legend, entitled “Love For Sale”.

The forthcoming collection of music follows the duo’s first 2014 collaborative album, Cheek to Cheek. The first project featured prominent composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, and Irving Berlin and was hoped to introduced the genre to a younger generation.

“The day we released “Cheek To Cheek” in 2014, @itstonybennett called me and asked me if I wanted to record another album with him, this time celebrating the songs of Cole Porter,” Gaga wrote to Instagram. “I’m always honored to sing with my friend Tony, so of course I accepted the invitation. Today, I am so excited to announce that our new album “Love For Sale” will be released October 1. You can pre-order the album and listen to our first single “I Get A Kick Out Of You” everywhere now!”

It’s certainly not the music The Fame pop fans would be used to, but it’s certainly the perfect music to have softly playing in the background while you work from home or during an intimate dinner party. It couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

The collaborative duo released a taster of the album, a single and cover of Frank Sinatra’s boppy tune, “I Get A Kick Out Of You”.

The album is an especially important body of work considering Bennett’s declining health. In February, the 95-year-old’s family revealed he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and had been battling the devastating illness since 2016.  But it hasn’t stopped the singer from performing.

“There’s a lot about him that I miss,” his wife, Susan Bennett said. “Because he’s not the old Tony anymore … But when he sings, he’s the old Tony.”

The album will release on October 1.

You can also expect new music from the likes of Lorde, Adele and Billie Eilish very soon.
