In case you missed it, Lorde is back. The New Zealand pop star debuted her new single “Solar Power” in June and has since embarked on a massive album press tour abroad. It seems her sunny new track has extended into her look, with the star’s latest appearances seeing her dressed in sunny, citrusy hues.
Appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Lorde sat down with the television host wearing a slinky green number courtesy of Australian brand Christopher Esber. The look featured strappy multi-coloured heels and was assembled by Karla Welsh. The stylist has also worked alongside the likes of Naomi Osaka and Olivia Wilde.
The “Royals” artist didn’t stop there and performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on a rooftop, barefoot (iconic), sporting a billowing pale yellow skirt and bralette from Etro.
As part of Lorde’s segment, she went day drinking with Meyers in a vibrant orange knit. The duo played a number of drinking games which subsequently led to a nasty hangover for the 24-year-old.
“I can’t look at an alcoholic drink ever again. It was insane,” Lorde told Meyers. “Someone came to my hotel and administered fluids to my corpse.”
“You did kind of destroy me,” she added.
And in just one more look from Lorde, she stepped out of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert studio in New York City wearing the lemon-coloured mini dress of our dreams.
Solar Power is slated to release on August 20. Last month the artist spoke on the cheeky artwork that will accompany the tracks.
“My friend just took it. It was just me jumping over a friend on the beach,” the singer explained in an interview. “For those who don’t know, it is my butt kinda from below, and I’m in a bikini, so it’s a little hardcore, but it was so joyful to me.”
