It’s the summer of style in New York City. After wrapping up production in Rome for Ridley Scott’s forthcoming film, House of Gucci, Lady Gaga has been spotted a number of times making big fashion statements in Manhattan. Last week we saw the return of Gaga’s signature nine-inch stilettos as well as a number of elegant all-black ensembles.
It was welcomed news this morning to wake to a social media feed fuelled by the pop stars next look: Maison Valentino Fall 2021 Haute Couture. The piece was just recently shown on the fashion week runway. It features a violet cape dress with a high-neck, an ostrich feather hat and lime green gloves.
In a fan video posted to @diet_prada, Gaga can be seen emerging from a hotel exit before effortlessly strutting to a car. We truly don’t deserve this kind of content.
The 35-year-old is in New York to perform with Tony Bennet at Radio City Music Hall this week. It comes after she was spotted spending time with her boyfriend Michael Polansky in Northern California late last month.
Gaga is well and truly leaning into her House of Gucci persona where she will play the infamous ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, Patrizia Reggiani. The actress has always had a penchant for the fabulous and frivolous (just look at her “The Fame Monster” era). Though we suspect this latest sartorial tour is purely in celebration of her second feature length project.
Her entry into film wasn’t by accident, in fact it has been her lifelong dream. In the lead up to the release of her debut film A Star Is Born, Gaga admitted she struggled to find work as she didn’t do well in auditions.
“I couldn’t make it as an actress, I was bad at auditioning,” she said in 2018.
Just look at her now. And look at the trailer to her forthcoming film below.
