Grab a box of tissues, noise-cancelling headphones and prepare to weep. A source for E! News has revealed the one and only Adele is preparing to launch her fourth studio album “very soon”. Following her split from former husband Simon Konecki, the singer has reportedly “spent months in the studio recording her new album,” and that “she is excited for the world to hear it.”

According to the insider, while we thought Adele was all but finished in the limelight the forthcoming project is set to detail moments from her 2019 divorce.

Further confirmation of the imminent album has come from close friend, British talk show host Alan Carr. Speaking to GRAZIA UKhe gushed, “I’ve actually heard some tracks on it. Oh my God, it’s so amazing.”

“That voice is like an old friend. Because there are some people [on] the charts who sound a bit like Adele and you go, ‘Oh they sound [like] Adele,’ and then when you hear Adele’s voice again you go, ‘Oh no, there’s only one. There’s only one Adele.'”

Adele teased the album on Saturday Night Live back in October 2020. While the Grammy winner hosted the show, she refrained from singing.

“My album’s not finished and I’m too scared to do both,” she said. “I’d rather just put on some wigs—and this is all mine, by the way—have a glass of wine, or six, and just see what happens.”

The 33-year-old has kept a low profile in recent years and was notoriously private on her relationship with Konecki. In a 2015 interview for 60 Minutes however, she did credit her partner for allowing her to be her most creative self.

“Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that’s so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now. That’s what made me write about everything I’ve ever done, because I’ve got his love.”

Stay tuned for further developments.
