Now that we know how A$AP Rocky escaped the friend zone with Rihanna – a pandemic and romantic road trip throughout the US – our attention turns to another burgeoning celebrity relationship. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker had also been friends for a long time before taking a leap of faith and now as they are due to be married, the reality star has revealed how she made the first move.

In a teaser for The Kardashians which airs tonight (!) Kardashian explained she started with “flirtatious conversation” before Barker asked her on a movie date. “The whole movie, he didn’t make a move!,” she explained.

The producer then asked the Poosh founder which one of them went in for the first kiss. “Me. I did,” she responded. “He was taking a long time. The movie was over, we started a new movie and I was like, I don’t have time for this movie marathon… so I made the first move.”

Kardashian and Barker started dating sometime around the end of 2020 and confirmed their relationship to the public on social media on February 14, Valentine’s Day, in 2021. The Blink-182 drummer then proposed to Kardashian on a beach in Montecito, California in October.

In the lead up to the premiere of The Kardashians it was revealed that the couple were trying to fall pregnant but that IVF treatment had caused the 42-year-old menopause-like symptoms. She shares three children, sons Mason, 11, Reign, 6, and daughter Penelope, 8 with ex Scott Disick. Barker co-parents Landon Asher Barker, 18, and Alabama Luella Barker, 16 with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

In new developments overnight, Disick has finally shared his “real” feelings about the loved-up couple. “I always had her friends or our family in my ear kind of like, ‘Don’t worry, honey, eventually you guys will figure it out,'” he said during the premiere of the reality reboot. “And, ‘You’ll get back together one day.’ So my foot was always halfway in the door.”

“Now we’re really just more of co-parenters,” he added. “I would say it’s probably one of the more difficult things in my life.”
