What does one do after a hard night drumming with the boys while the wife moshes on in the VIP section of your sell-out concert? If you’re Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian—and let’s be real, who else would we be chatting about—you head straight to the most luxurious gym and wellness you can find and chill, literally, inside a state-of-the-art cryotherapy chamber.
During their recent tour of Australia (yes, we know it was technically a Blink182 tour but who got the most headlines?) the blissed-out couple took the opportunity to experience the best that sunny Brisbane has to offer. Namely, the inside the serene walls of an $80 million wellness sanctuary TotalFusion Platinum (TFP), literally a hop skip and from chic accomodations The Calile Hotel where the couple were staying.
The pair’s visit was shared on social media by the TFP team, who shared a shot of Barker, 48, standing cool as a cucumber on a glass ceiling in front of their saltwater lap pool. “Thank you Travis Barker (@travisbarker) and Kourtney Kardashian (@kourtneykardash) for coming to experience @totalfusionplatinum Newstead while you were in Brisbane. According to TFP Spa manager, Amy Hides, the health-centric couple were keen to explore some of the more cutting-edge health offerings that TotalFusion Platinum had to offer: “Travis had many questions around the effects of Cryo, Redlight, HOCATT and PEMF modalities, hoping to have enough time to try them all to aid in improving his sleep during his tour.”
For those who may not be GOOP-level, or should we say POOSH, experts in all things wellness, HOCATT is a full body sauna for ozone therapy that “modulates the immune system by improving blood and lymph circulation, enhancing all organ function including production of hormones and enzymes” while PEMF, or pulse electro magnetic field therapy, “stimulates cells, helps to resolve cellular dysfunction, acute & chronic pain, reduces inflammation and support overall wellbeing”. Cryotherapy is the immersion into freezing (or near freezing) temperatures. All three of these are just some of the long list of health, fitness and recovery offerings that the Cavcorp property has to offer for those seeking to take their well-being to the next level.
Having opened late last year, TFP is what might happen if you took every possible health, fitness and wellness practice and threw it into AI and asked it it make a gym for it. Designed by ACME, the architects behind delish food destinations Gimlet and Fred, TFP combines everything you need to feel good under one roof, whether that’s a vitamin top-up via IV infusion while undergoing Normatec leg compression therapy or perhaps just some casual bio-electric therapy and a spray tan down in the newly opened TFP SPA, officially now the biggest day spa in Australia.
“Travis and Kourtney also enjoyed the rooftop facilities including the magnesium pools, snow room and sauna at night after the show,” adds Hinde. “During the day Travis visited the recovery lounge within TFP spa for Everest Cryotherapy treatment.”
Both Travis and Kourtney have been on a very public health journey that has included eating only vegan (95 per cent vegan according to Kourt) and organic foods as well as launching their own wellness brand, Barker Wellness, back in 2021.
