Just hours after it was revealed Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker were trying for a baby, it has been revealed that the reality star suffered adverse reactions to IVF medication. In a now-deleted teaser for The Kardashians which was leaked to social media, Kardashian claims she experienced menopause-like symptoms.
“It hasn’t been the most amazing experience,” she said. The Poosh founder addressed the negative comments she had received on social media after “gaining so much weight” with her mother, Kris Jenner.
“I’m, like, it’s so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they’re going through,” Kardashian said. “The medication that they’ve been giving me, they put me into menopause. Literally into menopause.”
The 42-year-old had been the subject of a slew of pregnancy rumours in 2021. One shocking comment in particular came from a fan that wrote under an Instagram post, “Not to be that girl but…is that a preg belly?”. The user would have been surprised to realise that Kardashian clapped back. “Are we really gonna do this every time I post a photo?” she wrote in reply.
If that occurred around December, we could be expecting the announcement baby Barker sometime soon! Unless she hides her pregnancy, à la Kylie, for nine months. Kardashian shares three children, sons Mason, 11, Reign, 6, and daughter Penelope, 8 with ex Scott Disick. Barker co-parents Landon Asher Barker, 18, and Alabama Luella Barker, 16 with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
The loved-up couple have shared plans to eventually move from Los Angeles. In a recent interview with Variety, Kardashian says she wants to eventually quit reality television for a sea change. “I see myself living in another city,’ she told the publication. “I don’t think I see myself filming on a show in five years. I would probably envision myself, like, just living.”
The Kardashians premieres on Hulu and Disney+ from April 14.
