Come the end of December, we can always rely on a few prolific members of the celebrity style set eschewing sunny Los Angeles for the frosted ski slopes of Aspen.

This melange of sartorial savants includes Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber. The latter of whom has just proved that frozen temperatures should not equate with divisive layering and extravagant outerwear.

Instead, the Rhode Beauty founder has used the soft powdery snow of the exclusive ski town as a backdrop to demonstrate how to do après ski chic right.

Quelling the procession of opulent coats Jenner has paraded through town this past week, Bieber has delivered a masterclass in bringing sensuality to the winter months in vintage Roberto Cavalli and a boudoir-inspired set from N°21 Numero Ventuno.

The ensemble consisted of a dramatic feather coat from Cavalli’s Fall/Winter 2005 collection—originally modelled by Australian supermodel, Gemma Ward, on the runway.

Underneath the theatrical jacket, Bieber donned a new season two-piece from N°21 Numero Ventuno’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway.

The negligible pair featured hallmarks of the Y2K “bimbocore” aesthetic, but has been rendered through a high-fashion Italian touch. Like on the catwalk, Bieber donned the white lace push-up bra, scoop-neck baby pink cashmere crop with pointelle trim and scallop hem sequin mini skirt.

As of late, we’ve seen Bieber take a more outlandish approach to her off-duty style, including pairing micro shorts with floor-length trench coats. Yet, with this look, Bieber has single-handedly received the noughties trend of wearing lingerie in the snow.

Bracing the Colorado cold isn’t for the faint of heart—or the comfort dresser, either.
