We are less than a month out to 2024, but Hailey Bieber is proving that her chokehold on beauty adherents remains stronger than ever. Less than a week after introducing ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’ makeup into the lexicon of cosmetic aficionados, Bieber has pioneered another festive-inspired look—a frosted, white-as-snow, glimmering complexion we’ve dubbed ‘Christmas Angel’ makeup.
Like the iridescent, The Nutcracker-themed style Bieber debuted in celebration of her birthday edition Jelly Bean Peptide Lip Treatment launch, this application method combines the 27-year-old’s signature ‘glazed’ skin with high-shine touches.
The makeup style is reminiscent of an ultra-glimmering version of the ‘cold girl’ aesthetic, with the look resulting in a shimmering Après-ski complexion with icicle-level highlights.
Rivalling a winter snowflake, Bieber’s makeup features cool-toned blush brushed across her cheeks and nose—as if Jack Frost himself nipped at her—a crushed berry stain on her lips and white sparkling eyeshadow dapped across her eyelids and brow bone.
However, it’s not just the cherubic twinkle across Bieber’s lids that is emphasising the angelic nature of the beauty look, but the ensemble she’s chosen to pair it with. Her latest foray into festive makeup comes courtesy of the Christmas Party for the media company that produces her YouTube videos.
For the occasion, Bieber opted for a satin mini from cult-favourite New York label Khaite. Titled the ‘Tate’ dress—which is a major missed opportunity from the brand’s side to call it the ‘Thaite’—the bone-coloured piece features a daring low-scoop neckline, a body-conscious silhouette, elongated sleeves and buttons lining the duchess-satin fabric.
Bieber’s soft take on festive wear extended to the sheer ivory tights, black bow and shaped stiletto heels she accessorised the look with. Indeed, her husband might be under the mistletoe, but with this look, Bieber is the star atop her Christmas tree.
