As much of New York City hunkered down for a snow day inside at the weekend, a select few people braved the blizzard and thick snow for a photo op. Dua Lipa – who is currently rehearsing for her Future Nostalgia Tour – was of course one of them. From a Manhattan rooftop the pop star shared a rolodex of images to Instagram.
Lipa chose to forego a beanie and gloves and instead opted for a Gucci x Balenciaga headscarf and really oversized sunglasses (goggles?). Baggy black pants and a much needed turtleneck was paired under a Matrix-esque leather coat which was also courtesy of Balenciaga. The look was finished with a pair of divisive Balenciaga x Vibram heeled five-toe booties. Not exactly weather appropriate but we can appreciate the commitment.
As long as the weather stays cool State side, we can expect many more maximalist ensembles from the “Cold Heart” artist. Last week the 26-year-old shared behind-the-scenes snaps from her highly-anticipated live concerts. Her off-duty ensemble consisted of a Yeezy x Gap puffer jacket (another style that is perplexing social media) and red Moon Boots.
Soon enough we will have access to all facets of Lipa’s lifestyle. From February 3 the singer will launch her lifestyle platform and newsletter, Service 95, which will eventually become a brand according to reports. The pop star has filed trademarks for a range of merchandise including cosmetics, food, drinks, clothes and jewellery. And yes, that means makeup which is super exciting given we’re still trying to bottle her post-breakup glow.
“I have always seen myself as someone who is of service to my fans and my followers,” Lipa wrote on Instagram announcing Service 95. “I wanted to create a little hub and a platform that encapsulates exactly that.”
We can’t wait for everything 2022 has in store for Dua Lipa!
