Much has been discussed about Dua Lipa’s penchant for travel and, by direct correlation, her endless vacation wardrobe.
Similar to the name of the new single, “Houdini”, the pop songstress is once again making herself a disappearing act, appearing everywhere from Los Angeles to Tokyo to promote the psychedelic club track.
But for her latest trick, Lipa has put a fashion touch on one of Copenhagen’s most prominent cultural customs while in the canal-laden city.
Indeed, while in the Danish capital, Lipa has embraced the merits of the Scandinavian sleep method, proving that pillowing duvets also serve a purpose beyond the boudoir. Especially when they’re cut and stitched into flirty mini skirts by Mrs Miuccia Prada.
The 28-year-old took to social media to share images from her “sister weekend”, including visits to the must-visit café Atelier September. In one photo, Lipa posed on the balcony of the historic Hotel d’Angleterre to show off her styling wizardry.
The Danish pièce de résistance came courtesy of a Prada set, including a longline brown suede coat, a grey cashmere sweater and a padded white miniskirt—all from Prada’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection presented at Milan Fashion Week earlier this year.
Both Prada and Lipa discerned our collective wish to wear a blanket as outerwear come winter and acted accordingly. But with Lipa in Copenhagen, it’s clear she’s encompassing the Danish tradition of sleeping with two duvets by leaving one of them on her bed and fashioning another into a mini skirt.
