A few weeks ago, we crowned Dua Lipa the queen of quarantine hair after she (and boyfriend Anwar Hadid) died her strands four times during London lockdown. The Future Nostalgia singer typically has a “top deck” – that is blonde on top and brunette underneath, but over the last few months had coloured the blonde section raspberry, candy pink, red and a shade of dirty peach.
The most recent development though is a more natural option: glossy brunette. It all started with a throwback two days ago of a brown-haired Lipa with the caption, “Should I bring her back?”

Fast forward to early this morning, and Lipa was brunette: “Back by popular demand.” It’s shiny and rich and presumably a lot easier to maintain than the rainbow shades, but Lipa is ever the chameleon when it comes to hair so we’ll likely see something fresh soon.
Lipa has been making the most of her time spent socially distancing, heading on an isolated island getaway with Anwar (dressed in Versace, obvs), spending time with Bella and a pregnant Gigi at the Hadid farm in Pennsylvania, playing World of Warcraft at home and couple bonding in the form of DIY hair colour. According to today’s Instagram update, she’s currently doing promotional work for her recently released album, Future Nostalgia, pointing out the fact that the UK is slowing coming out the other end of COVID-19.
