Whether we are escaping the mundanity of our restricted lives or the messiness of our social media feeds, a woman’s night time routine has become a much-needed tool to disconnect and relax. In a new series “How I Wind Down…”, we speak to lot of different women about how they prepare for a restful evening.

For Australian model, Cameron Stephens, her launch into the fashion industry begun on a whim. She made a last-minute decision in 2018 to attend a casting call for clothing label, Good American (co-founded by Khloe Kardashian). She landed a gig with the brand and shortly following signed with IMG Sydney. She’s walked for Australian fashion royalty, Matteau and Hansen & Gretel and this week will continue her runway career at David Jones’ Fall/Winter 2021 Gala Runway at the Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Now Stephens is firmly planted in the spotlight, she shares how to stay energised day in and day out.

GRAZIA: Can you describe your night time beauty routine?

“I try to keep it minimal when it comes to my night routine. Hydration is a big part of my beauty routine, so I like to keep it simple with a Grown Alchemist moisturiser and serum. Some nights, if I feel like I need an extra glow the following day, I might throw on a face mask before bed. I am currently obsessed with La Mer’s The Treatment Lotion Hydrating Mask. How do you wind down after a busy day?

“I definitely turn my phone off. I like to make sure I have at least an hour without any technology before bed. I will usually sit down and read a great book, or I have been really getting into meditation lately which makes me feel so much better after a busy day. How do you decorate your space to assist in falling asleep?

What time do you go to sleep?

“It is not always the case, but I try and get at least 8 hours of sleep to ensure I am ready and energised for the next day. I try to get into bed around 9:30pm to 10:30pm.”

Do you plan the next day’s look the night before or in the morning? If so, what’s your go-to look for an easy morning the next day?

“It depends on how busy my schedule is the next day however I usually go to bed having a rough idea of what I am going to wear especially if I need to get up early. My go to outfit is my favourite Significant Other knit dress from David Jones, with a pair of this seasons Alias Mae chunky commando style boot or sneakers styled with my cross body Stella McCartney bag.”
