Whether we are escaping the mundanity of our post-restricted lives or the messiness of our social media feeds, a woman’s night time routine has become a much-needed tool to disconnect and relax. In a series “How I Wind Down…”, we speak to lot of different women about how they prepare for a restful evening.

Hailing from the city that never sleeps, it comes as no surprise that Isabella Carr requires a wind down ritual to have a restful sleep at night. As someone who thrives off good energy, as she explains to GRAZIA, a skincare routine and form of active mediation (be it yoga or pilates) is essential for shaking out the negative vibes.

Carr, who has modelled for the likes of FILA and Elf Cosmetics, appeared in the recently-launched Bras N Things size expansion campaign, Big Boob Energy, speaking to the brand’s fuller cup size range. And let me tell you, there are no bad vibes here. “BBE to me means, big bold energy, I feel like a lot of what I do in modelling and social media is to fight against the stigma that you can’t be self-assured in your sexuality,” the BNT ambassador said.

In the next instalment of How I Wind Down, we speak with the model and hype queen for insight into her nighttime routine.

GRAZIA: Can you describe your night-time beauty routine?

“My night-time beauty routine is my favourite part of the day. I’m a shower in the evening kind of girl, especially because I live in New York and need to wash off the grime of the day. I am also walking constantly, so after my shower I put my hair up, do my skin routine and then brush my hair, get into bed, and read for an hour before I pass out.”

How do you wind down after a busy day?

“I wind down by sitting on the couch for ten minutes, taking a moment to exhale and then take some time to myself by working out. This usually involves pilates or yoga to drain out the negative vibes that I might have collected throughout the day, I am very much about energy and like to keep positive energy around me.”

How do you decorate your space to assist in falling asleep?

“I would say first off, I take off by Bras N Things bra (the best feeling after a long day), then pour myself a glass of water and place it next to my bed, turn off all my lights and prepare for sleep.”

What time do you go to sleep?

“I generally go to bed between 10pm and 1am. It depends how busy I am and if I’m booked in for a job. I really do enjoy going to bed early!”

Do you plan the next day’s look the night before or in the morning? If so, what’s your go-to look for an easy morning the next day?

“I am not a planner at all, I feel like the most authentic outfits go together in the moment, so I usually wake up, feel the vibe of the day, and check the weather and base my decision of that.

“If it’s warmer weather, I usually throw on a pair of boxers, my Bras N Things bra and then a wife beater black tank top. I love the casual vibe and think it’s the perfect outfit to go and get coffee in. If it’s winter, I usually throw a hoodie or crew neck over the top of my summer look.”
