As far as on-trend party beverages go, it appears GRAZIA is in exceedingly good company. The brand chosen as tipple-of-choice for our recent magazine launch co-party with brother fashion media title ICON was also the official wine sponsor for the British Fashion Awards 2018.

While mother-to-be, the Duchess of Sussex (nee Meghan Markle) – who presented both a speech and the award for British Designer of the Year: Womenswear to her wedding gown-maker Clare Waight Keller – clearly wasn’t partaking, other A-list industry guests certainly did.
Andrew Nugent, the founder of award-winning Adelaide winery Bird in Hand, hosted a table at the awards including nominee Victoria Beckham, her son Brooklyn and husband David, who also happens to be the President of the British Fashion Council. (Dapper David clearly takes his fashion very seriously!)
Actress Liv Tyler and her partner, David Gardner, who is a football talent agent and one of David Beckham’s closest friends, also joined the Bird In Hand table, as did Brooke Shields (dressed in Victoria Beckham), film director Gia Coppola, Australian jewellery and costume designer Michelle Jank, and several others.
“Last night was a huge celebration and a whole lot of fun with wonderful people,” said Nugent the next day. “Through wine, food, art, and design, we love to support creativity and innovation around the world.
“It gives our team great pleasure to be able to represent and promote South Australia’s world-class wines, particularly those from our Adelaide Hills home, to a wider international audience.”
Alexa Chung certainly will have been familiar with the Australian label, having visited its South Australian cellar door herself several months ago.
Guests enjoyed a variety of premium wines including the Bird in Hand Chardonnay 2017, Bird in Hand Sauvignon Blanc 2018 and Bird in Hand Shiraz 2016 during the sit-down dinner, along with Bird in Hand ‘House of Holland’ Sparkling Pinot Noir 2017, Two in the Bush Shiraz 2016 and Bird in Hand Sauvignon Blanc 2018 in the box level.
