Spotted: Blake Lively making the mercury rise this summer with a fiery pool-side uniform that’s turning a look (and heads).

The actress took to Instagram to relish in the merits of a seasonal wardrobe in a style that can only be described as if an older Serena Van Der Woodsen tried the ‘Tomato Girl’ aesthetic.

Indeed, we wonder if Lively has been embracing the spare time the languid season has provided by joining the millions of TikTok users emulating a European summer from home with this la dolce vita meets Los Angeles ensemble.

The balmy look featured a scarlet balconette bikini top and 60s-style high-cut bikini briefs, a skin-baring silhouette she completed with Lolita-esque red heart-shaped sunglasses.

Continuing the mid-Century beatnik beachside style, Lively placed her tousled blonde tresses into two messy ponytails.

This isn’t the first time Lively has recreated her iconic Gossip Girl character’s enviable wardrobe, with the swimwear style a matured version of Serena’s eclectic archival pieces and bohemian-infused silhouettes.

In fact, we’d argue if Lively paired her sumptuous swimwear with a Hamptons-approved kaftan rather than a family friendly striped towel, we could’ve believed this photo was a never-before-seen still from the set of an episode where Serena steals her mother’s vintage Halston swimsuit.

Nevertheless, the look is offering Lively’s devoted fans a glimpse of her in something other than the Carhartt-heavy florist uniform she’s been donning for her new project.

Lively has currently been filming the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best selling novel It Ends With Us in New Jersey.

The mother-of-four is leading the production as the protagonist, Lily Bloom, yet it’s Lively’s looks, which included a georgette button up shirt from Bode and halterneck midi dress from Khaite, that has garnered chatter online with fans of the novel dubbing the looks as out of character.

However, with Lively’s latest outfit proving that she can stay true to the source material, we’re sure her fans will be craving more peeks at her small-town-meets-big-city wardrobe by the time the film’s production restarts.
