JUNE 9, 2021: Via an explosive new article from Vanity Fairit has been revealed Armie Hammer was checked into a treatment program on May 31. A witness reported seeing Hammer arrive to the Grand Cayman airport to meet estranged ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers.

A close source to Hammer confirmed he reached out to Chambers to seek help and is now receiving treatment at a Florida facility, outside of Orlando.

“Everyone looks at Armie thinking that he’s had some sort of privileged life—and that must mean there were no problems in his youth and everything was peachy keen,” said a close friend told Vanity Fair. “But that’s not necessarily the way things go. Just because you come from an upbringing where financial resources are plentiful doesn’t mean life isn’t without problems.”

A family friend told the publication Hammer “is committed to getting healthy and having custody of his kids. This is a clear sign that he is taking back control [of] his life and knows that this [is] a step towards his overall well being.”

In January, Hammer was accused of alleged sexual violence, manipulation, cheating and emotional abuse. Following a powerful exposé on Hammer and his family on March 11 – several ex partners reveal they were treated for trauma following their relationships – Hammer became an official suspect in an LAPD sexual assault case on March 19.

Effie – the account holder behind the Instagram handle House of Effie – accused the actor of rape after first revealing graphic DMs from the actor in January.

“On April 24th, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face,” Effie said in a statement. “He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent. For example, he beat my feet with a crop so they would hurt with every step I took for the next week. During those four hours, I tried to get away but he wouldn’t let me. I thought that he was going to kill me. He then left with no concern for my wellbeing.”

Hammer’s lawyers have continued to deny the allegations and have not responded to the new report.
