Zayn Malik has returned to social media – and set fans alight with the reveal of a brand new tattoo inked right on to his jawline.
The former One Direction star posted a selfie on the social media site, his first post in months, and left it uncaptioned. The picture saw him looking down towards the ground, with his jaw in focus and a hat perched upon his head.
But it was the ink that had fans talking, as they attempted to figure out the words. And also why anyone would get their face tattooed.
“Do more” or “demode,” which translates to fashion, are the top two choices, but the cursive font and unique positioning makes it hard to decipher.
“Do more? or démodé? would zayn do smth french?” questioned one fan as another shared: “What do we think @zaynmalik’s new tattoo says? We think it looks like ‘de mama'”, perhaps a tribute to Gigi Hadi;
The model and Zayn welcomed their daughter Khai in September.
The new family live down the road from her mother Yolanda Hadid’s 18th century Pennsylvania farmhouse, and Hadid recently opened up on life with her new family, sharing that her daughter takes after her mother, as both of them love “to be outside after a long winter,” with Khai a fan of watching the trees and flowers bloom during their hikes.
She also shared that Malik loves to sing Arabic nursery rhymes to their little girl, and that the family enjoy listening to Bollywood music.
“It’s peaceful and recharging for me,” the model told Harper’s Bazaar. “I deal with a lot of things through just sitting and thinking and writing. People made jokes when COVID hit, like, ‘Oh, Gigi, you’ve been practicing quarantine for years now,’ because when I had a few days off, I would drive to the farm from the city and be with myself in my little cabin, making a resin chair or drying flowers.”
