In a brief statement posted earlier today, Yeezy Gap, the decade-long collaboration inked last year by Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, and the Gap, announced it will debut Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga—a three-way creative partnership between West, the Gap, and Demna (formerly known as Demna Gvasalia), the creative director of Balenciaga, one of West’s favorite labels.

Most recently, West and new love interest Julia Fox collaborated on an all-Balenciaga photoshoot for Interview magazine, inspired by their first two dates—one in Miami, and the second in New York City.

The Yeezy Gap statement reads: “Ye pioneers a new creative exploration within the Yeezy Gap Universe, Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga. The first of its kind launch sees Ye’s peerless vision bring together the most influential designer of his generation, Demna, with iconic American brand, Gap.

“Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga continues Ye’s commitment to bringing creativity to the forefront and delivering his vision of utilitarian design for all. Available globally in 2022 alongside continued Yeezy Gap releases.”

The last Yeezy Gap product drop featured the round jacket, which was released December 16th.
