After over a year of Covid-19, the Academy Awards finally delivered us the red carpet we’ve been dreaming of, with everyone from Zendaya to Margot Robbie attending this year’s ceremony not via Zoom, as we’ve become accustomed to, but in real life.

But wait, there’s more. Not only did we get our first look at a pre-pandemic awards season again, but we got our first after-party.

Despite Vanity Fair calling off its annual Oscars soiree, celebrities still wanted to celebrate, instead attending private functions all over Los Angeles.

Cara Delevingne and Paris Jackson spent the night together, while Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga headed to Elton John’s. But perhaps the most star-studded event was held at members-only club Spring Place in Beverly Hills.

For the occasion, model Winnie Harlow wore one of the night’s best looks: a blue Georges Hobeika couture gown. The dress, from the brand’s spring/summer 2021 collection, features a sweetheart neckline, full A-line skirt and cascading ruffles that fall asymmetrically across the body.

Harlow paired the Cinderella-esque look with an embellished clutch and strappy heels in similar hues, keeping her beauty look simple: wavy loose curls and a touch of pink lipgloss. Perfection.

Also at the party was actress and singer Andra Day, who was nominated for Best Actress for her role playing Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday. Despite losing on the night to Frances McDormand (for her role in Nomadland), Day looked set to party the night away in a stunning Vera Wang gold dress with a thigh-high split.

Other cast members of The United States vs. Billie Holiday were at the party too, including director Lee Daniels, actors Tyler James Williams, Garrett Hedlund, Miss Lawrence, and Rob Morgan. Actress Emma Roberts was also in attendance, as was rapper Drake.

Now that vaccines are being rolled out, summer (in the northern hemisphere) is on the way, and Hollywood is back in action for both parties and red carpets, things are finally looking up. If that’s not cause for celebration, I don’t know what is.
