All eyes were on the Oscars on Sunday evening for the first seemingly normal red carpet event in almost a year. With everyone from Zendaya, in a show-stopping yellow Valentino gown, to Carey Mulligan having her own golden Valentino moment, celebrities—who were likely just as excited to get dressed up as we were to watch them—didn’t skimp on the glamour for the biggest night in film.
Though the red carpet looked relatively action-packed, the Academy Awards were still not at full capacity which resulted in everyone who wasn’t nominated for an award on the night not getting an invite to the actual ceremony. Plus, for the first time in a long time, there was no official Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.
This meant, just like other awards shows this season, there was a slew of at-home viewing parties and events. The likes of Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga could be found at Elton John’s house, while others had their own private functions, watching the show via live stream along with the rest of us.
Paris Jackson and Cara Delevingne were each other’s dates for Oscars night, with Jackson wearing a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown and Delevingne the perfect juxtaposition in a Ronald van der Kemp tuxedo with long black leather gloves.
The women offset their beauty looks, too, with Delevingne wearing her usually bronde locks the darkest they’ve been in years, and matching her brunette do with vampy lips and eyes. Jackson wore nude-orange lips and eyes with a bold cat-eye.
Of course, Delevingne is a lover of tuxedos. Her most famous moment being the wedding of Princess Eugenie Windsor Castle when she wore a black Emporio Armani tuxedo suit, paired with a black top hat and black pumps.
No word yet on what Jackson and Delevingne did for Oscars evening, but we’d hazard a guess they attended one of the many private after-parties dotted all over L.A. to celebrate their friend’s achievements—specifically, Delevingne’s good friend Margot Robbie’s production company’s win for Promising Young Woman, and her fringe’s red carpet win.
