Season 2 of Euphoria is filled with drama and new characters, including Elliot (Dominic Fike), who befriends Rue (Zendaya) at a New Year’s Eve party.
The two end up doing drugs together, and later on, Rue introduces him to her girlfriend, Jules (Hunter Schafer).
Prior to playing Elliot on the HBO Max hit series, the actor was mostly known for his music career. In 2018, he released his debut album, Don’t Forget About Me, Demos and released What Could Possibly Go Wrong two years later.
“I wish I could edit it every day. It’s never done,” he said of the latest album. “But I’m tired of trying to be like: ‘Man, this is my masterpiece.’ It’s my first crack at this album s**t: it was fun, I had a great time and I can’t wait to keep doing it and get better at it. I hope I delivered: we’ll see!”
Fike has also gotten to work with pop royalty, as he collaborated with Justin Bieber on the single “Die for You” — and he was also featured on Brockhampton‘s single “Count on Me” alongside Lil Nas X.
This is Fike’s first big break in the acting world, but he was originally supposed to be in season 1. However, his character was written out of the plot until HBO reached out to him to join one year later. “It’s become a second career,” he shared. “Now I don’t have to do TikTok, is how I look at it.”
It also helps that the handsome hunk can relate to Elliot. “I don’t have to do much acting,” he noted. “He’s exactly like me. It’s s**t I would say and s**t I would do.”
The TV star previously dated Booksmart star Diana Silvers, but now it seems like he may have another lady in his life: Schafer. The two left The Nice Guy in West Hollywood, Calif., in early January 2022 holding hands.
Additionally, Deuxmoi claimed the pair were “kissing” and “dancing” inside the restaurant. The duo have yet to confirm the hearsay.
It certainly sounds like Fike is on the right track to becoming a household name!
