We're Good

Finally, Dua Lipa announced her first single of 2021: “We’re Good,” coming Thursday, February 11. In the days leading up to the official announcement on Tuesday, February 2, the 25-year-old singer teased her 60 million followers, writing in the accompanying caption of an Instagram post, “new music coming soooooooooooon.” Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait too long. They can get ahead of the game by pre-saving the song to automatically pop up in their music library on release day.

Just when you think you can’t handle that news, there’s more. In addition to the single, Lipa’s also coming out with a new edition of her second studio album, Future Nostalgiawhich she initially released in March 2020. The latest version, named Future Nostalgia—The Moonlight Edition, drops one day after her new song on Friday, February 12. Naturally, fans are begging the singer to share the album’s updated tracklist. Some have even taken to Reddit to piece together potential clues about songs from the singer’s social media.

“We’re Good” will likely be featured on Future Nostalgia—The Moonlight Edition, as implied by their closely timed release dates. Besides the news about when to mark our calendar, Lipa also unveiled cover art, photographed by Hugo Comte. So far, she’s shared three images, our favorite of which is the star rocking micro bangs styled by hairstylist Anna Cofone and peachy, dramatic draped blush brought to life by Lisa Eldridge.

At the time of publishing, Lipa’s hit, “Levitating,” currently holds the fourth spot on the American Top 40. Amid the coronavirus pandemic in which millions of people remain at home, the catchy song mentally transports us to a non-socially distanced 70s nightclub—a fun escape from the reality of our little apartments. Hopefully, Lipa’s Future Nostalgia—The Moonlight Edition brings us even more opportunities to dance like nobody’s watching in the living room.
