Nicole Byer: Big Beautiful Weirdo

Nicole Byer is a lot of things: author, prolific voice actor, host of Netflix’s Nailed It and TBS’s Wipeout, podcaster extraordinaire. Premieres Dec. 7, Netflix

And Just Like That

The wait is over: Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristen Davis) are back—along with some new friends and all the same old men. West Side Story

It’s hard to think of a more anticipated—or more scrutinized—film this year than Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of this classic musical. It’s got a screenplay by Tony winner Tony Kushner, an appearance by Rita Moreno, and it corrects the 1961 version’s original sin of casting Natalie Wood and other white actors in the roles of Puerto Rican characters. It also come just weeks after the death of lyricist Stephen Sondheim and the 1961 film looms large. Still, the reviews seem to be pretty glowing thus far, so it just may live up to the hype. In Theaters Dec. 10.

Succession

Did you-know-who you-know-what in the pool? My money’s on no, but we’ll see! Also, what’s gonna happen to poor Gerri (J. Smith Cameron) now that everyone knows about the items Roman (Kieran Culkin) has been sending? The finale of this divisive season finds the Roys still in Tuscany for Caroline’s (Harriet Walter) wedding with tech mogul Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) still in the mix. As Roman teases in the promo, all will be revealed… Dec. 12 on HBO and HBO Max.
